SUGAR GROVE, Ill. — The ninth-ranked Iowa Central volleyball team picked up two more victories here Saturday to improve to 5-0 on the season.

The Tritons downed Moraine Valley (25-18, 7-25, 24-26, 25-12, 15-8) and South Suburban (25-14, 25-8, 25-17) after claiming recent victories over Illinois Valley, defending national runner-up Owens and Illinois Central.

In the five-set win over Moraine Valley, Iowa Central rallied after falling behind 2-1. Amaya Finley had 13 kills and Asarar Goney 12, with Abby Lohrmann recording 37 assists and 23 digs.

Finley and Gony each had seven kills vs. South Suburban, Hannah Murray had 18 digs and Fernanda Orsi 27 assists.

The Tritons open their home schedule on Wednesday inside Hodges Fieldhouse vs. Iowa Lakes at 7 p.m.
