Golden Bears 2nd; SE’s Kinney 10th

Carroll Kuemper’s Katie Schweers and McKenna Ludwig finished first and third overall here Wednesday afternoon to lead the Knights to the girls CYO golf title at Lakeside Golf Course.

Schweers fired an 85 to win the individual title over Bishop Garrigan’s Lexi Berte by six strokes, while Ludwig’s 95 was good for third overall.

The Golden Bears finished second with a 398, 14 shots back of Carroll Kuemper. St. Edmond was sixth overall.

Berte had a 44 on her first nine holes and added a 47 to post the low score for her team. Bella Capesius tied for fourth overall with a 97 and Anna Berke was seventh.

Leading the way for the Gaels was Rylee Kinney, as she carded a 104 to finish 10th. Kinney concluded her day with a 50 on her final nine holes.

Amanda Richman had a 115 to place 21st overall and Grace Viaene added a 116 for 22nd.
