Titan boys win TLC track title
SIOUX RAPIDS — The South Central Calhoun boys claimed the Twin Lakes Conference track title on Wednesday night.
The Titans won three events and accumulated 127 team points.
Pocahontas Area (112) was second. East Sac County (101) was third, followed by Manson Northwest Webster (93).
Southeast Valley (74) was sixth and Newell-Fonda (23) was ninth.
Chase McAlister won the 800 for the Titans in a time of 2:05.70.
Colton Bahr was the high jump champion with a leap of 6-foot-2.
South Central Calhoun also earned gold in the 4×400 (3:38.37).
Pocahontas Area earned five championships.
Andrew Klaassan was a double winner, earning gold in the 100-meter dash (11.76) and 200-meter dash (23.65).
Nick Harrison was the shot put winner with a throw of 46-01.
The Indians won the 4×100 (46.03 and 4×200 (1:35.46).
Southeast Valley’s Spencer Warehime was a double winner, finishing first in the 1600 (4:42.50) and the 3200 (10:04.28).
The Jaguars were first in the distance medley (3:45.64)
East Sac County’s Carter Babe was the 400 champion in a time of 52.94.
