Indians run away with TLC crown
SIOUX RAPIDS — The Pocahontas Area girls claimed the Twin Lakes Conference title Tuesday evening with 180 points.
Alta/Aurelia was second followed by Sioux Central, South Central Calhoun and Manson Northwest Webster.
Southeast Valley placed seventh, East Sac County eighth, West Bend-Mallard ninth and Newell-Fonda 10th.
Faith Meyer (100 hurdles, 15.64; 400 hurdles, 1:07.71), Jill Vonnahme (1500, 5:19.36; 3000, 11:38.48), Kenzie Sullivan (discus, 130-0), Kaylee Shivers (high jump, 4-10), Jessica Sump (long jump, 16-3.5), the 4×200 (1:50.90) and shuttle hurdle relay (1:09.50) were all winners.
For the Titans, Allison Birks won the 100 (12.80) and 200 (26.65) and SCC also claimed the 4×100 relay (52.50)
Becca Krueger (shot put, 39-9) led the Cougars.
West Bend-Mallard picked up the distance medley relay in 4:38.51.
