Dodgers fall to Urbandale

The Fort Dodge boys tennis team dropped a 7-4 decision to Urbandale at Dodger Courts on Thursday.

The Dodgers (1-7 overall) won three singles matches.

“We had some really strong individual performances today and those guys are really starting to hit their stride at the right time,” said Fort Dodge head coach Jared Feddersen. “Doubles has continued to be our Achilles heel and we still need to get more comfortable moving and playing on the court as a team.”

Jonny Bowser earned a 6-1, 6-0 decision over Dylan Pattschull in No. 1 singles.

Ryan Dolan picked up a 6-0 and 6-3 win at No. 2 over Nick Fejfar.

Daniel Leigh won 6-2 and 6-3 over Aditya Kotla in No. 6 singles.

Bowser and Dolan teamed up for two 6-1 sets over Jejfar and Alex Thompson.

Brayton Rude and Hans Mustad teamed up for a junior varsity win and Adam Moore won for the JV.

The Dodgers are back in action on Monday when they travel to Ames.
