Nothing could slow down the Southeast Warren offense here Monday afternoon.

With temperatures rising, the seventh-ranked Warhawks matched the heat index, overwhelming No. 4 West Monona in a Class 1A contest at Rogers Park by a 21-8 count in four innings.

Southeast Warren (23-4 overall) will play No. 15 Edgewood-Colesburg on Farm Bureau Field at 12:45 p.m.

The Warhawks plated four runs in the first, 11 in the second and six in the fourth after not scoring in the third. Lexi Clendenen and Kinlie Crow each went deep, as they combined for 10 RBI and scored six runs on four hits.

Madison Olsasky, Emma Manser, Kiara Wallace and Harper Wallace each drove in two for the Warhawks, who are in the elite eight for the fifth time in six years. Clendenen, Ewing, Loal Shriver and Crow all scored three times, as Belle Ewing stole three bases.

The run total by Southeast Warren broke the previous 1A record of 18 set by Kee in 2017 and Remsen St. Mary's in 2013. It also ties the single-game 1A tourney record.

Brihanna Hill homered for West Monona. Georgia Jones had a triple, and Creighton Lichtenberg a double. Lichtenberg had three RBI and Hill two.

The Spartans meet No. 1 Exira-EHK/Audubon in an elimination game on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
