Defending Class 1A state champion Clarksville showed incredible heart and fighting spirit time and time again here Monday night at Rogers Park.
Down 6-2 in the seventh, trailing again in the eighth, and again later in the game, the Indians somehow found a way thanks to the bat of Eve Jordan.
Jordan put a ball into right-center that scored the game-tying and game-winning runs in the 15th inning vs. North Butler on Farm Bureau Field, 12-11.
Jordan finished with two hits, two RBI and scored a run, Catelynn Lodge had four hits and scored three times, Sydney Lovrien drove in three, including a homer in the 15th, and Brooke Bohlen had three hits.
Lovrien also pitched all 15 innings for Clarksville, striking out nine and retiring 12 in a row at one point in extra innings.
Eden Wix hit a home run for North Butler, with Charlotte Shook driving in three on three hits. Zoey Thompson also had three hits and Mackenzie Shultz had two RBI.
Both teams will be back in action on Tuesday, with Clarksville on the winner's side and North Butler in an elimination game.
