Principal: St. Edmond is a special place

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing summer. My name is Tabitha Acree, and I am honored to be starting my third year as principal at St. Edmond Catholic School.

I want to take some time to welcome not only our returning families, but also new families who are joining our school. We are excited to share with you all that St. Edmond Catholic School has to offer and believe that you will soon feel as we do, that St. Edmond is a special place. Our teachers, support staff, and families are ready to welcome you as a Gael.

At St. Edmond, we will continue to partner with families to provide students with an excellent Catholic education, holistic formation, and a community in which Christian discipleship is our goal. Families, teachers, support staff, community members, and administration all play an integral part in helping our students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. A strong partnership between home and school fosters greater success for our students. We look to our families to be positive partners in their student’s educational and faith journey.

After 20 years in the field of education, I always look forward to the first day of school. Meeting new students and watching their excitement as they enter our doors, brings so much joy. It is a blessing getting to watch our students begin their education as preschoolers in our building and then years later celebrate them as graduating seniors.

As always, my door is open and I value your input. I encourage you to contact me at (515) 576-5182 to share ideas, concerns, or if you have any questions. I wish all of our students great success this school year.
