City and county leaders have invested time and money in cultivating the beauty of our area. We have more than 70 miles of trails, 25 of those with a hard surface, and 65 miles of water trails that allow canoeists and kayakers to explore the city and surrounding areas. Webster County also boasts the largest OHV park in the state and sees visitors from all over the country.

Our high school students have the opportunity to earn college credit through our local Iowa Central Community College, we are able to offer free pre-school for 4-year-olds, and we are home to a number of reputable private schools.

In addition to the outstanding educational system, we’ve been fortunate enough to also keep all of the educational facilities and learning technology updated and improved. These updated buildings facilitate the best work environment for our students and allow them to thoroughly enjoy their time at school.

Our regional educational system also provides opportunities for students to engage in clubs. Clubs and athletics give students opportunities to hone their skills. Local businesses also interact with our school systems and sponsor many school events.. The local business relationships with our school provide extra opportunities for work and work training for our students.
