Orthopedic care continues to grow at UnityPoint

I am thrilled to share with you that we recently welcomed a new orthopedic surgeon to our organization. Elijah Miller, DO, joined the team of dedicated providers at UnityPoint Clinic Orthopedics in partnership with CNOS. Dr. Miller is an important part of our continued orthopedic growth at Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Our partnership with CNOS launched in 2019, starting as a satellite program, offering a clinic two times a month. Now our orthopedic team consists of two full-time patient-driven orthopedic surgeons, as well as two advanced practitioners, who are committed to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the spine, bones, joints, and muscles. Let me give you a brief introduction.

As a Fort Dodge resident, Dr. Miller further strengthens our ability to provide local orthopedics, close to home. His approach to care is compassionate, empathetic, and patient-driven. Dr. Miller specializes in joint replacement, including anterior total hips, sports medicine, and fracture care and he enjoys patient participation in what path is right for them. He joins Dr. Prashanth Anand, Grant Wilson, PA-C and Laccey Crimmins, ARNP, who are all dedicated in providing a team-based patient experience.

Dr. Anand practices general orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, foot and ankle surgery and primary reconstructions of knees, hips, and shoulders. He believes in evidence-based medicine, as is evident in his experiences with past fellowship, in writing peer-reviewed orthopedic articles and in his research. With Dr. Anand and Dr. Miller’s expertise, we are pursuing Joint Accreditation to further show our commitment to excellence.

Grant Wilson, a Certified Physician’s Assistant and Laccey Crimmins, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, do everything except for the surgery itself to support our surgeons and patients. This includes collaborating in the care of patients with castings, vitals, and prescribing and diagnosing injuries and illnesses.

Through our partnership with CNOS, we are able to bring high quality, local care to our community so there is less travel for patients. To further our dedication to bring quality orthopedic care to our community, CNOS partners in athletic training programs for Iowa Central Community College and St. Edmond Catholic School. UnityPoint Clinic is proud to partner with CNOS to provide coordinated orthopedic care around you and your recovery. We recognize the importance of orthopedic care for all of us, in all walks of life, and so does our dedicated team of orthopedic specialists. We are excited to provide our community with these opportunities for orthopedic care. If you would like to set up an appointment with someone from our orthopedics team, please call (515) 574-8333.
