How many multipurpose buildings does Fort Dodge need?
Don't we already have a multipurpose pavilion at the mall? This new building was backed by voter-approved school board referendum extending district borrowing authority.
The school board approved this multipurpose building using our tax dollars. Why do we need another multipurpose building? We already own a brand new one in the mall. If need to transport students to this facility, we have school buses that the taxpayers own and certified drivers. The district just paid for new wrestling room and new auxiliary gym at high school a few years ago. My taxes went up for 2026 and with everything else going on in Trump's world I don't see taxes going down for middle class.
Are the taxpayers of Webster County going to get to use this new multipurpose school building? How about the swimming pool when repaired? Would be fun to have facility that we taxpayers own to go swimming on weekends.
The land by high school is used for physical education classes, soccer practices and marching band practices. No room for multipurpose facility. What is cost?
