Appreciates work done by Beacon of Hope

To the editor:

I have been a steadfast supporter of the Beacon of Hope since its inception under the leadership of Steven Roe. My commitment to this cause has continued throughout the organization’s journey, including its ongoing efforts under the guidance of Brian Bidleman. The dedication and perseverance demonstrated by the Beacon of Hope inspire confidence and deserve continued recognition from our community.

Jesus Christ tells us “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine you did for me.” The Beacon has done this since its foundation is solidly based on the word of God. One cannot find a better example than Jesus on any topic, including homelessness.

Many years ago, I experienced homelessness. During that difficult period I was fortunate to have friends who reached out and offered camaraderie and sustenance. Many homeless individuals facing homelessness are not as fortunate. They often lack a support network and must navigate these hardships alone, sometimes while also struggling with addiction or mental health challenges that only make their circumstances more difficult.

The Beacon is a caring support system that offers hope and crucial assistance to those who are struggling , and I deeply appreciate the work the Beacon continues to do for individuals facing these hardships.
