Concerned about the direction of the country
To the editor:
Where there’s opportunity, there’s an opportunist. We’re now in Iran and the Middle East. Oppressed people for years and no way changing their government but by force and bombings. It’s like attacking a beehive and more bees retaliate. So, we now have other countries and our bases and embassies being attacked too. More Americans threatened and the loss of lives patriotic? We’re told this is because of bombs being possible in Iran. I wonder how long our country will be safe from this fallout?
All we voted for was cheap costs for groceries, insurances, possible homes and jobs. Not our nose in other countries.
We have good police and responders with training and helping protect us. And all we wanted was ICE to have those values and be responsible for judicial processes. Masks scare and breaking indoors gives the idea of being attacked.
How can we afford all these costs? Taxes only go so far. Some of us get tax breaks but not all of us. And now gas and oil going back up again. And groceries too.
Are our government and politicians dealing in the real world? I pray every day for our leaders, but are they getting the message of help for the American people.
And the talk of changing voting places, set ups, and requirements looks like scare tactics to me. I will not give up my rights to vote and my free speech.
I can only see a change needed to make things better for the American people. God is watching us, but we have to do the work ourselves. Do not give up for a better country. Be ready to vote. Count your blessings and help others.
