Supports Larson for House District 7
To the editor:
All of us who live in the Iowa House District 7 which includes Calhoun County, Pocahontas County, Sac County and the western part of Webster County are indeed fortunate to have good school districts, good local public libraries, good health care services and a relatively safe environment in which to live and to raise our families and prepare our children for their futures. This also includes human services assistance, good roads and other infrastructure needs to accommodate the largest industry in our district which is agriculture and ethanol production.
Compare the services our communities provide and then watch what many cities throughout the United States are confronted with on a daily basis. The challenge, of course, is to maintain and improve, if necessary, those services that we need and rely upon.
A critical element in that regard is electing individuals who have a moral compass and common sense attitude and approach to dealing with issues that affect our children and ourselves in maintaining our chosen lifestyles.
Wendy Larson, who is the Republican candidate for the upcoming special election for Iowa House District 7, the area we all call “home”, is certainly qualified and gifted for that position. She fully understands and recognizes the importance of community volunteerism that includes our fire & rescue departments, economic development groups and many others.
On Tuesday Dec. 9t, my wife Judi and I will be casting our vote for Wendy Larson as our State Representative, I encourage all voting residents of District 7 to strongly consider doing the same.
