To the editor:

We will be called upon to go to vote again. Are we happy with how our country has higher food costs, the tariffs, and no solution as promised?

At the grocery store hamburger is $7 a pound and other items still going up.

Have you had to make a choice of what you can afford or do without?

As to the shutdown — when most people do their job, they only get paid when they show up, unless they have vacation, leaves or excused absences. Do our representatives still get their paychecks when not doing the job?

What groups aren’t paid or their checks held back by the government? Why should people have to pay for being treated this way?

Do our leaders need psychiatric testing? Are they trying to destroy America? What does our flag stand for anymore?

We can write and call our representatives in the state and government. The newspaper has posted addresses and phone numbers for us. We need to call or write for change and help.

We get tariffs added before items come into our country and again when they reach our country. Are we paying double?

On Sunday, Oct. 12 on the CW Sports Channel, an ad for ICE agents and offering a $50,000 sign-on bonus. I wonder how these people feel about their jobs. And who determines a person not fit to be in America. Zip tying children’s hands and the fear factor sneaking in at night to take people away. Hopefully not me or mine.

Our Constitution was set up years ago with rights and three branches to govern. Are our people remembering these principles? Where is right from wrong and backbones in our leaders?

Check out representatives and current people before we vote. I will be voting for my future. Make your voice heard. Our free speech has not been taken away yet. Do you want three more years without change for us?

The Bible says God will be the final judge. Pray for America.
