Noon Lions serve community
To the editor:
The Fort Dodge Noon Lions have served the Fort Dodge community for more than 100 years. Our service projects have included providing seeing eye dogs to the blind, conducting vision testing for children, paying for eyeglasses for adults with vision issues, providing hearing aids to those needing them, and providing scholarships to graduates of Senior High and St. Edmond. These are just a few of the needs we address.
The largest fundraiser we have for funding these projects come from our annual steak fry. As chairman of this year’s event, and on behalf of our club, I’d like to thank everyone who purchased a ticket or worked to make the event successful. Your support of the steak fry makes it possible for our club to continue to serve Fort Dodge.
If you are interested in learning more about Lions and how we serve, contact Mike at (515) 570-0298, Cliff at (515) 408-8145 or any Lions Club member or come to the Lions Den in Armstrong Park any Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
