To the editor:

The Republican presidential and vice presidential candidates continue to spew lies about immigrants, “after birth” abortions, FEMA, the economy, COVID -19, Jan. 6 and many others, including the big lie about the 2020 election.

I encourage you to do your research on statements you hear. There is a difference between a false/misstatement and acknowledging the error compared to often repeated lies. It was very revealing during the vice presidential debate when J.D. Vance stated “Margaret, the rules were that you were not going to fact check…” Did he expect to lie with impunity? Trump continues to rail against being fact checked during the presidential debate and interviews.

If you watch Fox News, remember they paid $787.5 million for knowingly broadcasting misinformation about Dominion Voting Systems and the election.

The Washington Post fact checker reported that Donald Trump told 30,573 lies in office and continues to lie at his rallies and interviews. He has repeated some of the same lies for eight years. Why are we accepting these continued lies as normal?

I do not want another term of liar in chief. Do you?
