Booster Club says thanks

To the editor:

Duncombe Elementary Booster Club’s annual Fun Night event — held Saturday, March 25 — was a tremendous success and an opportunity for Duncombe families and the community to come together, have fun, and support the youth of Fort Dodge.

We would like to thank all of the parents and families who sold raffle tickets, donated silent auction items, baked cakes, or volunteered to work, as well as Duncombe staff and Fort Dodge Senior High students who volunteered to work at this event. We would also like to thank the members of our community who supported our school by purchasing raffle tickets or attending that night.

Each year, the profits from Fun Night are used to support the school in a variety of ways, including technology purchases, field trips, classroom projects, and an annual scholarship for a high school graduate who attended Duncombe. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our community. We sincerely thank the following businesses and individuals who donated to our raffle and event in some way: Amigos, Blank Park Zoo, Brown’s Shoe Fit, Casey’s General Store, Dr. Moehnke, Fort Dodge Country Club, Fort Frenzy, Golf Central, Hawkeye Community Theatre, Hy-Vee, Iowa Central, Iowa Cubs, Kemna Auto, Kwik Star, Lakeside Golf Course, Lomita’s, Patsy Pukacz, River Hops, Rosedale Rapids, Snack Shack and Target.

We appreciate your support of Duncombe Elementary School, its staff and students and look forward to another great event next year!
