To the editor:

Having watched Niki Conrad serve her first term as the District 4 supervisor for the Webster County Board of Supervisors, I have been particularly impressed with her work ethic, her ability to be transparent and her desire to make a positive difference in the lives of the constituents she serves. Niki is an independent thinker who is willing to discuss any issue with the people with whom she comes in contact and take their opinions into consideration when she decides.

One of her passions when she was running for office was to learn to be transparent so her constituents would know what she was doing and how hard she was working. She does a Facebook podcast on Friday mornings, which allows anyone who is interested to learn what she has been doing during the previous week. In addition, she is willing to text, email and talk by phone with anyone who wants to have personal contact with her. Those activities are all strong examples of her willingness to be transparent. Also her hundreds of conversations with constituents at social and other face-to-face events are indicators of how hard she works and another way she displays her transparency.

Niki is a strong, caring woman who wants what is best for the citizens of Fort Dodge. She has worked hard to prove herself this term. She deserves a second term as District 4 supervisor and I urge you to join me in voting for her.
