To the editor:

Honesty, integrity, loyalty, intelligence, selflessness. These are just a few ways to describe Austin Hayek. I have known Austin for over 14 years. Nearly half of that time I worked with Austin, where I came to learn just how invested to public service he was.

Austin has always been a “we” person instead of a “me” person. In a world full of public servants who only serve themselves, Austin is one public servant that will truly serve our community the way it deserves.

I have witnessed Austin sacrifice himself for those around him, from complex situations to a simple question he is able to give an answer to, and everything in between. Whether it is family, friends or total strangers, Austin will give the shirt off his back to help those who need it.

Austin has demonstrated leadership with his family, Community Christian School and in any job he has held.

Austin Hayek is fair, honest and will seek the best solution and truth in any matter, regardless of who is asking. He is unafraid of difficult situations and is not influenced by the wrong people.

The true definition of integrity is what someone does when nobody is looking. I can assure you, based on years of personal experience with Austin, that he will do what is right when nobody is looking.

Webster County has the opportunity to elect a public servant that is loyal, hardworking, intelligent, fair and genuine down to his core. For these reasons and many, many more, I am supporting Austin Hayek for Webster County supervisor and I strongly encourage everyone to do the same.
