Grassley stays in touch with people
To the editor:
Chuck Grassley just finished his 42nd year of visiting each of Iowa’s 99 counties to take questions and hear concerns from the people of our state. That’s over 4,000 meetings since he was first elected to the U.S. Senate.
It shows that Grassley still has his priorities straight.
Democracy is all about government of, by and for the people. We need representatives in Washington (as well as in Des Moines) who know what we are thinking.
So many people rely on the media and online platforms to both get their information and share their views. But there’s no replacement for speaking person to person. That’s what Grassley does.
He meets people where they are, and answers questions about what they care about. In these divided times, Iowans are well-served by having a senator that will look us in the eye while listening to our concerns and maintain his commitments to every corner of our state.
