To the editor,

I would like to give a huge shout-out to the Fort Dodge Recreation Department. As we continue our outdoor practices, I have noticed that Harlan Rogers has had a tremendous amount of younger kids out on the fields practicing and playing games each night. Not only local kids, but kids from surrounding communities. This includes baseball and softball.

It’s great that Fort Dodge has a facility like Harlan Rogers, and wonderful how they have opened it up for all of us to enjoy.

Thank you to Lori Branderhorst, Chad Graaf and Kody Linder for letting this happen. It does not go unnoticed.

In this current environment, it’s terrific to see all these kids at the park and not stuck behind a screen. Again, thank you!
