To the editor:

The Fort Dodge Evening Lions would like to thank all of the families who came out on such a cold night to Rides Event Center for An Evening With Santa. We had a good amount of people and everyone enjoyed seeing Santa and getting a hot drink of coffee, hot cocoa or juice and cookies. We also had door prizes for children which they had fun with.

We want to thank all of our sponsors that donate to our projects especially Fareway, Hy-Vee and Walmart with grocery gift cards. Without sponsors like these we could not do our projects with the amount of success that we have with each one.

The winners of the grocery raffle are as follows: Corey Lombard, Deb Johnson, Tom Salvatore, Barb Hilbert and Everret Wiss. Again thanks to all of our sponsors for what you give and do for our club.

We also had two Iowa Lions Foundation Awards to give out to outstanding sponsors of our projects. Chris Palm, manager of the Fort Dodge Fareway store, was present and received a plaque and pin from the Iowa Lions Foundation. The second award went to Duane Murley from the radio station. He was not present but will receive his at a later date. Thanks to each for the past and present sponsorships and help.

Thanks also to Mediacom, The Messenger and the radio station for getting this event to the people of Fort Dodge and the surrounding area.

The Fort Dodge Evening Lions want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
