To the editor:

I welcome Joseph Jackson, of Fort Dodge, to share his opinion (10/27) on these pages. I am writing to straighten it out. He leaves out a central fact that thousands of Iowans attended the rally because they support the Trump agenda and are very dissatisfied with the Biden agenda of lawlessness, open borders, abandoning Americans in Afghanistan behind enemy lines, reckless spending, runaway inflation and replacing the American Dream with Big Government.

Our Sen. Grassley was on that stage to accept former President Trump’s “full and complete endorsement” reflects why he’s earned the endorsement and trust and votes of Iowans for decades — he’s got his finger on the pulse of Iowans, he never loses touch and the hallmark of his public service is representative government. And that’s why I support Chuck Grassley for reelection and encourage my neighbors to do so as well.
