Misinformation a great threat to society

To the editor:

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds and Republicans say you should have a right to choose your health care, meaning the shot. They must only be talking about males because they don’t want women to choose their health care, meaning abortion.

Another example of their manipulations. If you’d have told me a couple years ago people wouldn’t get a shot to save themselves from a plague I probably wouldn’t believe it. Yes, a plague (an epidemic disease causing a high rate of mortality.) Over 762,000 United States deaths (most of any country) and over 5 million worldwide qualifies.

If you join the military you may get up to 17 vaccines, some are location specific.

When people drink the poisonous orange Kool-Aid of disinformation, it’s disastrous. It’s not just yourself in danger. Don’t you care about your family, your kids, friends and neighbors?

It is for the common good.

Thomas Paine said, “To argue with a man who has renounced the use and authority of reason, and whose philosophy consists in holding humanity in contempt, is like administering medicine to the dead.” Haven’t we done enough of that. We call do better when we all do better.
