To the editor:

Thank you to those responsible for producing The Messenger. We are fortunate to have this newspaper six days a week, although I did enjoy having that seventh day. The number of newspapers in the United States that are able to survive has decreased significantly in the past few years.

I am thankful that the careful financial planning of The Messenger has allowed it to stay in production. At a time when media coverage has become very slanted, I appreciate that The Messenger makes an effort to report an accurate version of what is occurring in our community and country. I also appreciate that we receive positive news that occurs in our community and the surrounding areas and not only the ever-present negative activities. Thank you to all the employees and the owners of The Messenger.
