Appreciates support of Lights at Kennedy

To the editor:

With the 2020 Lights at Kennedy season behind us, we would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation for the volunteers, sponsors, and businesses who all helped make Lights at Kennedy a tremendous success this year!

Specifically, we would like to thank the following:

Thank you to the 28 businesses and organizations who built light displays this year: Blue Ribbon Pelham Waters, Valero, GreenState Credit Union, First United Methodist Church, Decker Truck Line, McClure Engineering, Kingsgate Insurance, ABATE of Iowa-District 10, Iowa Central Community College, Cargill, Neighborhood Realty, Active Health Clinics, Daniel Pharmacy, Fort Frenzy/Northland Travel/ShinyTop Brewing, Jim’s Carpet One, Iowa Heart Center, CJ Bio America, Jeff Haupts State Farm, KG Roofing, Crimmins Welding, FD Civitan Club, New Covenant Christian Church, The Artists Warehouse, UnityPoint Health, Fareway, Webster County, Citizens Community Credit Union and the Badger Lake Dragon Boat Association.

Thank you to the volunteers from Noon Sertoma and Young Professionals, specifically Brian Pederson, Chris Vickery, Jayna Mickelson, Kalli Wheeler, and Joe Tyrell for all the coordination efforts and leadership.

Thank you to Webster County Conservation for allowing us to use Kennedy Park Campground for the event every year and to Fort Dodge Asphalt for providing the traffic cones.

Thank you to Hy-Vee and Blue Ribbon Pelham Water for sponsoring advertisements, the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance for coordinating the promotion of the event and The Messenger and Alpha Media for the event coverage.

Thank you to Kelly Hindman with Friendship Haven for the partnership. Having the residents of long-term care facilities be able to view the lights was one of this season’s highlights for us!

Thank you to the drivers and passengers of the 4,206 vehicles that drove through Lights at Kennedy. It takes an entire community to make this event successful and we thank you for supporting our event this year! We look forward to another record-breaking year in 2021.

Lastly, I would like to personally thank GreenState Credit Union for allowing me to take many hours away from work to organize the event.

Happy Holidays from the Fort Dodge Noon Sertoma and Fort Dodge Young Professionals organizations!
