Fort Dodge Police Association endorses Fleener

To the editor:

The Fort Dodge Police Association is proud to endorse Sgt. Luke Fleener for Webster County sheriff. Fleener is a man of integrity and an officer full of knowledge, determination and fortitude. He has proven his character working cases with sheriff’s deputies, Fort Dodge city police officers and Iowa State Patrol Troopers, effectively building relationships between the agencies, creating camaraderie that is important to law enforcement.

Our Fort Dodge Police Association’s mission is to promote professionalism through communication, education and legislation with the purpose of enhancing the lives of our members. Fleener satisfies this mission completely. He is a professional leader, training officers across the United States for Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT). As Team Commander of the Regional Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), he has created one of the best teams in the country through education and training. Fleener is proactive and intends to train Webster County deputies as he trains officers everywhere to enhance the lives of all Webster County residents. We look forward to working closely with Fleener as Webster County sheriff.
