A special thank you to the Ft. Dodge community

To the editor:

The Salvation Army would like to thank the community for helping us help the needy and marginalized people in Webster County. Through your efforts our Angel Tree program brought toys and food to many families this Christmas season. With the help of many volunteers, our Red Kettle Campaign met our goal of $51,500.

It is a blessing to see this community come together as one each holiday season. A special thanks goes out to the managers of Fareway, Hobby Lobby, Hy-Vee and Walmart for allowing us to bell ring at their locations. We also want to thank all the Casey’s locations in Fort Dodge, Culvers, W&H in Badger, and the Duncombe grocery store for allowing us to have a counter Kettle at their businesses.

A special thanks to the Civitians, Kiwanis, and Rotary clubs for their efforts, the Salvation Advisory Board, the Girl Scouts, Unity Point Health, The Messenger, Fort Dodge Realtors, Badger Fire Department, and to all the churches, youth clubs, and individuals too numerous to name that donated their time to ring bells. We could not have made our goal without you. The Salvation Army is committed to helping the needy both spiritually and physically in our community.
