Says fireman comforted her

I went to Hy-Vee on Jan 10, picked up a few things and left to the parking lot pushing a cart a about 2:35 p.m. I was walking down the car lane over on the pharmacy side when out of no where a white new truck backed up within inches of me. Hit the cart and it took it out of my hands. I jumped back in time but still feeling the effects from sudden movements. The truck, of course, didn’t stop. I was so worried about getting out of the way didn’t even look for license.

There was a Vincent fireman walking behind me who saw it. He immediately asked me if I was OK. I thought I was and said so. But then stopped by cart holder on other side of where truck was. My heart was beating so hard. The fireman came up and started talking to me. Asked if I knew who Bruce Springstein was. Then proceeded to tell a story about him about one of his songs based on his life experience. The story had the intended effect. It took my mind off what just happened.

I thanked him for taking the time to talk to me. It really helped me get home.

Please whether you’re young, middle age or older, please, please take the time to look. Apparently back up cameras don’t work in everything. This scared the life out of me.

Also would like to thank the Vincent fireman for assisting me. It was truly appreciated.
