To the editor:

The YWCA of Fort Dodge would like to give a resounding thank you to all those who gave their time, talents and gifts to make the YWCA Silver Showcase a HUGE success! This was, without a doubt, one of the most successful events in our history.

The community has spoken! Through your generosity you have underlined the need to keep the women together with their children, as they go through the rehabilitation journey! The support that clients share with each other is awesome and lends to the security of the children and their future. The YWCA is the only facility that offers the unique approach of keeping the children with their mothers throughout the rehabilitation process.

And that’s not all!! Once again, we are asking for your kindness with the Christmas Giving Tree. You select a room with either an individual or someone with children and then provide “Christmas” for that resident(s). We will give you gift ideas and their wish list. This has been an exciting success with all the residents enjoying their incredible day. The children and moms would not have had Christmas without the kindness of these gracious donors!

Again, a huge thank you goes out to all who helped make this a wonderful time of the year.
