Event to benefit Health Center

To the editor:

The Community Health Center of Fort Dodge has been in existence since 2006, serving Fort Dodge and the surrounding communities. We are writing this letter to ask for community support in helping us continue our mission of providing quality healthcare to all. In 2018 over 7,000 patients made over 25,000 visits to the health center, of these patients 184 were veterans, 32 were homeless and 96% were at or below the federal poverty level.

On Saturday evening, November 2nd we will hold ou fifth annual fundraiser titled ‘All Star Fundraising Costume Party.’ The event, formerly branded as Masquerade Ball, has a fun theme each year. This year’s theme is sports figures. We welcome you to attend the event dressed as a famous athlete or in your favorite team attire. Tickets for the event are $45 in advance and $50 at the door. The evening will raise funds for the purchase of new blood pressure cuffs, an eye screening machine and for the general needs of the clinic to pursue our mission. There will be dinner, live and silent auction, sports theme games and a DJ. It will be an entertaining evening for a great cause.

We invite you to support by attending the event, donating auction items, becoming a sponsor or purchasing raffle tickets, which are being sold ahead of the event by staff. For additional information, to make a donation or to purchase dinner or raffle tickets call 515-576-6500. Tickets are also available at Shimkat Motor Company.

Thank you
