Family fun event succeeds

We would like to thank the public for coming and making our JOURNEY OF HOPE such a big success. On June 22, we had a family fun event. We had a bike, walk/run to raise money to help local families with uninsured expenses when their child is seriously ill and child loss support. In addition, we raised money for the Children’s Cancer Research to help find a cure for children’s cancer across the United States. We had face painting, bouncy houses and games for the kids all of which was free for the children. A free will donation for the meal followed the silent auction.

A special thank you to our sponsors: C J Bio, Huseman Chiropractic, Pederson’s Sanitation, C & S Products, Payne Properties, Jensen Builders, Tjaden Electric, Rasch Construction, Pepsi, Greene Amusement, Al’s Auto, Cargill, Legacy Realty, Walters’s Sanitation, and FD Ford Lincoln Toyota.

Thank you to all those that donated for the silent auction. Without your help we could not make this event possible.

A special thank you to Sally Hart for hosting this event again this year. She did an amazing job gathering a crew of hard workers to make sure that we would have a successful event. To the crew of staff members: Anne Payne, Melanie Patterson, Breann Olson, Vicki Kampen, Carrie Guerin, Angie Dougall, Megan Hanna, Cara Ford, Shari Burke, Liz Allison, Sally Hart, Carol Harrison, Kim Schaeffer, Pam Johnson, Brenda Schorr, Brenda Slover and Shirley Hottman.

We hope that you never have seriously ill children or that your child gets cancer. We do want you to know that there is help out there if it does happen.

Looking forward to another exciting year in 2020.

Shirley Hanna Hottman on behalf of the Journey of Hope Staff
