Ballot count in Webster County went very well

To the editor:

This year on Election Day I worked along with 15 other volunteers counting and recounting the nearly 5,000ballots cast in the Webster County Absentee Precinct. I want to congratulate Doreen Pliner and her staff in the auditors office for all of their hard work in preparing the election and for improvements made to the process since the election two years ago. The addition of a new high-speed ballot counting machine (45 ballots per minute, woot! Woot!) was a big plus. The county techs that ran the ballot counting machine were knowledgeable and very helpful as well. Altogether it was a much less stressful and satisfying experience.
