Election Day is rapidly approaching so I would like to take this opportunity to urge people to get to know about one of Fort Dodge’s finest individual running for state House, Ann Meyer.

Ann Meyer, along with her husband Dr. James Meyer, have been longtime residents of Fort Dodge so she has witnessed the growth Fort Dodge has accomplished in the past 10 to 15 years. Ranging from the award winning Trinity Hospital, to the expansion of Global Crossroads west of Fort Dodge to the development of the Fifth Avenue South Corridor and revitalization of the downtown area. Ann’s experience as a health care provider has enabled her to witness firsthand the needs of Iowans for the increase of mental health access including in-patient beds to help better serve our ever-growing mental health problem our nation and state are experiencing. She sees the problems with the ever-increasing health care costs that are crippling our population and preventing people to seek health care treatment. She is for tax credits to help promote businesses like Cargill and CJ Bio to move here to help bolster the economy of Fort Dodge, offering good-paying jobs and spurring economic growth. We need people with the passion like Ann to represent us to continue to fight these problems and continue to grow as a community.

I encourage all residents of Fort Dodge and the surrounding areas to vote for Ann Meyer for State House this November.
