They’re supporting Niki Conrad for supervisor
To the editor:
We encourage all of you who reside in Webster County Supervisor’s District 4 to vote for our niece, Niki Conrad, for the following reasons:
For almost her entire life her, she has been interested in politics and in public service. While living and working for several years in Chicago and New York City, Niki was active in the Democratic Party as a volunteer as well as becoming a dedicated volunteer and advocate for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. When she decided to return to her hometown of Fort Dodge to live when her father’s health was deteriorating, we all cheered because we knew it would be a win for her and her family, a win for her career as the Manager of Special Projects for Chopt Creative Salad Co. of New York, and, as important, a win for her hometown and wider community.
Niki’s employer was eager to keep her on the Chopt team and offered her the opportunity to work from the home she purchased in Fort Dodge and to manage special projects for the team. Niki has now taught many of us what it is like to have a home office and work with more than 50 Chopt restaurants in 8 states plus Washington, D.C. The depth of knowledge she has gained is impressive and she uses her skills to promote her company. She is an excellent problem solver and communicates effectively with the staff and the customers with whom she comes in contact. Those communication skills and her problem-solving ability are essential skills for a supervisor and will make her an important addition to the Board.
Because Niki has lived in large metropolitan areas and succeeded well, you can be certain that she is an independent woman who has strong beliefs and opinions and is willing to share them. At the same time, she is an active listener and will cooperate and consider options to find workable solutions to any disagreements that might arise. We need a voice like Niki’s on the Board of Supervisors, a smart, talented, younger woman’s voice, to provide some diversity on the Board. Please vote now until Tuesday, Nov. 6, for Niki Conrad for Webster County Board of Supervisors, District 4.
