To the Editor:

Recently I took advantage of the opportunity to meet Megan Srinivas, who I had read about in the Messenger while she was a high school student at Fort Dodge Senior High.

Since then, she has followed her dreams, graduated from Harvard, then University of Iowa Medical School, and is currently working as a physician at Community Health Center. I was so impressed with this young woman’s grasp of statewide and local issues that I felt compelled to support her publicly. She wants to be involved in policy planning and decision making to improve the lives of folks in her hometown. Megan is invested in the community.

I am confident that if you hear Megan express her values and articulate her opinions about issues that affect each one of us, that you will be as impressed as I was. How lucky we all are to have candidates of Megan’s caliber interested in listening, learning, and using her abilities to make our community and state a better place. Megan Srinivas is Iowa’s future.

Please attend the forum at Iowa Central Bioscience Building at 5:30 p.m. today to take advantage of the opportunity to hear several of our local candidates who are willing and eager to represent us. I look forward to seeing you tonight.
