To the editor:

Thank you to the 88 participants, 20-plus volunteers and local sponsors who helped make the 2018 FD Shag the Drag run/walk event successful. We were able to donate $600 to Meals on Wheels thanks to the generous participants. It would not have been possible without all of you. Special thanks to Blue Ribbon Pelham’s Water, Hy-Vee, Choice Printing, Olde Boston’s Restaurant & Pub, Fit This, Shiny Top Brewing, and Panchero’s for donating to the event, as well as the Fort Dodge Fire Department and Mitch Lunn State Farm for lending race materials. We would also like to thank Jon Shields and the Market on Central team for working in conjunction with the run/walk. We look forward to seeing everyone next year.
