Lauds CCS

To the editor:

Community Christian School has impacted my family’s lives for many years. I am so grateful for the 40 years that it has been a part of the Fort Dodge community. As they prepare to celebrate their 40th anniversary on Sept. 21 and 22, I want to say a big “thank you.”

The Christian teaching and biblical standards reflect the love of Christ each day at CCS. I love how the students learn Bible verses and also how to apply them daily into their lives. The teachers correlate Christian values and principles into the core subjects. These strong foundational skills and character qualities have shaped many of the CCS students to be excellent examples of citizenship and future leaders.

Community Christian is a small but mighty school. It reminds me of the story of David and Goliath in the Bible. David was a young lad who trusted God and was able to defeat the giant Goliath. CCS staff, school board, families and students look to God for its strength and direction. Yes, it has had obstacles and challenges like all other schools and businesses, but God is always in control. Community Christian School is a light that shines for the Lord.

I praise God for how Community Christian School has enlightened the paths for so many families. We hope that many of you can celebrate their 40th anniversary with them as they reflect, remember and anticipate many more years to shine for him.
