To the editor:

On “The Doctor’s Show” on April 27, they said schools should offer mental health education.

I thought, that really makes sense. Would be a place where it’s most important, maybe there’d be less bullies in schools if they know how it affects their victims. Maybe more kids would know if they’re experiencing mental health issues if they’re educated to know what mental health illnesses are, what their warning signs are/how to identify them.

But I’m sure our government would think it’s more important to send other countries dollars in foreign aid, than to pay out dollars for education to improve the health and wellness of their own country. They’d rather pay out money to clean up the aftermath of mass school shootings and everything else caused from untreated mental illnesses.
