Fun Night succeeds

To the editor:

Duncombe Elementary’s annual Fun Night event, held Saturday, April 7, was once again a tremendous success and an opportunity for Duncombe families and the community to come together, have fun, and support the youth of Fort Dodge.

On behalf of the Duncombe Elementary Boosters, we would like to thank all of the parents, teachers, Fort Dodge Senior High cheerleaders, FDSH dance team and FDSH tennis players who volunteered to work at our event. We would also like to thank the members of our community who supported our school by purchasing raffle tickets and attending the event.

Each year, the profits from Fun Night are used to support the school in a variety of ways, including technology purchases, field trips, classroom projects, and annual scholarships for high school graduates who attended Duncombe. However, none of this would be possible without the generosity of area businesses who have provided us with donations for our raffle or have given us monetary support.

We would like to thank all the businesses who donated to Duncombe Fun Night and helped make our event a success: Active Health Chiropractic, Air Choice One, Anytime Fitness, Availa Bank, Blank Park Zoo, Blue Ribbon Pelham Waters, Brown’s Shoe Fit, CJ Bio America, Casey’s General Store, Civic Center of Des Moines, Creative Signs and Graphics, Culver’s, Daniels Photography, Domino’s Pizza, Family Video, Fareway, First State Bank, Fort 8 Theatre, Fort Dodge Ford, Fort Dodge REC, Fort Frenzy, Hawkeye Community Theatre, Hy-Vee, Iowa Central, Iowa Cubs, Ja-MAR, Jimmy John’s, Kemna Auto, Key Photography, Memories in Focus, The Messenger, Mid-Country Machinery, Mid-Iowa Towing, Midwest Fence and Gate, Minnesota Vikings, NEW Cooperative Inc., Pancheros, Pepsi, Pingel Tyre, Perkins, Redlib Photos, Shimkat Motors, Shiny Top Brewery, Silgan, Soldier Creek Winery, Sports Page, Subway, Taco Tico, Tea Thyme at Sadie’sm Tropical Smoothie, Troy Waller Auto Body, Wendy’s, Village Inn, Visions Auto Glass and Repair, University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University.
