Lauds Fort Dodge
To the editor:
An old African proverb says “It takes a village to raise a child.” The “village” I was raised in was Fort Dodge. Although I have traveled around the world and lived in many different places since, I feel the sense of community activity, support and volunteerism that being raised in my village has instilled in me.
Recently, I caught up with a few former classmates and noticed, no matter where they are now or what they are doing, they are involved in their community. So for all those who give their time to help our children, Thank you. Take pride in the wonderful village you have created.
