To the editor:

The Healthy Webster County Coalition and the Crossroads Mall would like to thank everyone who participated in the Mall Laps During Lunch program that ran from Jan. 12 to March 24. The participants kept track of the number of laps walked around the mall and demonstrated great dedication to maintaining or improving their health.

Each week participants could enter their name in a drawing for prizes. Thank you to all these businesses who provided incentives for the weekly drawings: Fort 8 Theatre, Fort Dodge Ford, Fort Dodge REC, Kemna-Valvoline Express Lube, Pancheros, Brown’s Shoe Fit Co, Applebee’s, Hy-Vee and Subway.

Another special thank you also goes out to: Shoe Sensation for hosting the information and sign in table throughout the program.

Thank you to the community partnerships and coalition members as we worked towards improving the overall health and wellness of the county. Because of the enthusiasm and motivation from the participants, we will continue to provide a similar program in the future.
