On behalf of It Gets Better – FD and myself, I want to thank each and every one of you personally for the purses and toiletries. Emily Hicks, Ann Machovec, Pat Scheer, Cleo Abel, Amy Pederson, Dawn Gronbach, Lisa Irving, Skeeter Fuller, Sue English, Janet Pierce, Tami Schiedegger, Joann Olson, Rachel McBride, Tammy Cook, Louise Shackleton, Heather McCloud, Kathy Gehlhausen, Donna Steburg, Toni Wallace, Julie Hughes, Amy Heesch, Karen Thode, Dermatology, Surgery Department at the hospital, EVS and Linens, Allergy Clinic and Women’s Center.

Also a thank you to Goodwill for purses and the Dental Hygiene program at Iowa Central Community College for toothpaste and toothbrushes. Jennifer Wiles, Karen Bond, and Amy Gochee thank you for taking time out of your Saturday to help put these together. Extra special thank you to Jess Simpson for letting us take over her basement for storage and work space.

This has been the best year for the purse drive thus far. We made a total of 55 purses this year. Forty for the YWCA and 15 for D/SAOC. That is almost double what we did last year. We assembled and delivered them on Dec. 13. After five years of doing this, it just gets better and better. It’s a fun and humbling experience. Thank you again.
