Voters keep schools strong

On Tuesday, Fort Dodge Community School District voters approved renewing the crucial physical plant and equipment levy for an additional 10 years and increasing the amount of the levy for the years ahead.

The district’s need for this funding was clearly demonstrated by supporters of the proposal during the weeks leading up to the vote.

Keeping our community’s public school system top-notch is vitally important to the town’s continued growth and prosperity. This levy makes an important contribution toward achieving that goal.

The Messenger applauds the civic-minded citizens who took the time to cast a vote in this important election. Approving this investment in our community’s future was the right decision.
