Mary Frances “Fran” Rosales, born October 4, 1933 in Ledyard, IA to Lorenzo and Hilarria Rosales passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024 after a brief illness. Dr. Thomas E. Jessen, 83, long-time Newton physician, passed away September 22nd following a fall. Born and raised in Fort Dodge, he was a 1959 Fort Dodge High School graduate and earned B.S. and M.D. degrees from the University of Iowa. He practiced in Coralville, Iowa, for three and a half years before moving to Newton, where he continued his practice for 36 years until his retirement in 2010. Dalbert L. Isom, 91, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 28, 2024, at United Methodist Church, Gowrie, with Rev. Susan Rohden officiating. Burial will be in Gowrie Township Cemetery with Military Rites by the American Legion Post #431 of Gowrie. There will be a visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church.
