Margaret “Peggy” Ruby, 103, passed away Friday, October 16, 2026, at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Holy Trinity Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.
Peggy is survived by many nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Ruby; parents Clarence and Margaret (Powers) Ruby, sister Delores Mallinger and an infant brother.
Margaret Claire Beckel was born March 15, 1923, in Vincent, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the Vincent and Duncombe areas and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1940. In 1979, Margaret was united in marriage to Lloyd Ruby and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Peggy worked for Quaker Oats for 13 years and then 17 years for Stark, Crumley and Jacobs Law Firm, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
