Andy Birkland passed away on June 23, 2026, in Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Myra Birkland, and beloved wife, Janice. He is survived by his daughters, Dianna of Spring, Texas, and Andrea of Austin, Texas. He will be remembered with love by his family and all who knew him.
His love of the land began with farming and continued throughout his life, including his annual garden. He retired from Farmer's Co-op after more than 35 years of dedicated service.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 13, at New Covenant Christian Church in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m. A brief lunch will be served at the church. Family and friends will then proceed to Cedar Cemetery in Rinard for a graveside service.
