Robert "Bob" Eugene Bellinger, 86 of Sartell MN, passed away peacefully September 1, 2026, at St Cloud Hospital with his family by his side. Bob was born in Waterloo, IA on October 3, 1939, raised and graduated from Laporte City, IA, class of 1957. He enjoyed high school sports of basketball, track, and baseball. His love of reading, math, and chemistry flourished. He worked hard on the farm. That turned into him staying long periods on his grandfather Warren Bellinger's farm with his loving Aunt Inez.
Bob married Charlene Mae Walton, August 27, 1960, at Linden Church in Waterloo, IA. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage and raised two daughters, Cindy and Cristen. He graduated from University of Iowa, with a bachelor's degree in pharmacy in 1962. He dedicated his nearly 40-year career to Director of Pharmacy at Trinity Regional Hospital Fort Dodge, IA, retiring in 2000. Bob and Char then had more time at his favorite place, Evergreen Lodge (Todd and Nancy Johnson) on Woman Lake, Longville, MN. Bob's love for fishing developed early on the banks of the Cedar River and continued with honeymoon fishing in Okoboji, IA. He enjoyed many hours fishing on Woman Lake with family and friends, always looking for "Walter," the fish that got away. His quick math and knowledge would often be shared. During card games he was known to keep score in code, accomplished with a dry sense of humor that would frustrate many and provide laughter. During Bob's journey he touched many with his desire to care for and seek others out. He would often leave for errands and return hours later after talking and making new friendships. Bob and Char spent many hours watching basketball and especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. He looked forward to NCCA Men's Basketball Tournament and family tournament pools. Bob was a great family man who adored his children, grandchildren and great grandkids. He never missed attending their events. Bob will be greatly missed, but his memories will be shared by his family: wife Charlene and daughters Cindy Luethje (Steve) of Waterville, MN, Cristen Yang (Henry) of Sartell, MN. Grandchildren are Tyler Luethje (Heather) of Le Center, MN, Colby Luethje (fiancee Madison) of Ankeny, IA, Nicole Yang-Van Sambeek (Jack) of Bloomington, MN, Jenna Yang of Washington, DC, Carly Yang of Sartell, MN. Great-grandchildren are Lincoln, Beau and Boone Luethje.
Following cremation, Bob's wishes are for a celebration of life with immediate family at Benson Cemetery, Whitten, IA. In Lieu of flowers or memorial, please Honor Bob by enjoying each day with family, and friends as a tribute to his extraordinary life. As the song goes Bob, "Well Done Well Done, my Good & Faithful One".
