Carolyn Ann Wolter, 91, of Manson, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the Pomeroy Care Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Manson. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Manson. Arrangements have been entrusted with Gunderson Funeral Home -- Weishaar Chapel.
Carolyn was born in Manson on May 30, 1935, to Harold and Carrie (Carlson) Williams. Carolyn grew up in Manson and lived here her entire life. She graduated in 1953 from Manson High School. Carolyn was united in marriage to Dale Wolter on May 27, 1960, at Augustana Lutheran Church. She worked at Johnson's IGA grocery store in Manson for many years. After all the kids were gone, Caorlyn and Dale worked on a carnival during the summer. Carolyn was a life member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Manson. She enjoyed going camping, reading books, doing crossword puzzles, and playing games with family and friends.
Carolyn is survived by her children Juliann Wolter, Patrice Fox, and Thomas Wolter; daughter-in-law Sue Wolter; seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale; son Randall; grandson Peyton; her parents Harold and Carrie; her brother Kenny.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
